Description Explore the stark beauty of North Iceland in winter on a workshop that reveals the region’s dramatic landscapes under a blanket of snow. This tour offers opportunities to photograph Icelands incredible landscapes including thundering waterfalls, volcano craters, bubbling geothermal mud pools and, with luck, the spectacular northern lights illuminating the dark winter skies.

Northern Iceland in winter is a more remote experience than the busier south and a rare opportunity to join a photography workshop to this part of the country. On my workshops, every detail is taken care of from the transport, delicious food, comfortable private rooms to the stunning locations so you can relax and concentrate on enjoying the photography. I pride myself on providing plenty of personal tuition, so numbers are limited to 5 participants to enable me to spend plenty of time with everyone.

Accommodation
We will be travelling east, staying at the remote Hotel Norðurljós for one night before looping back west to Myvatn where we will spend 3 nights at the wonderfull Fosshotel Myvatn.

Flights
Flights are not included, there are relatively few direct flights to this part of Iceland, the best flights for this workshop are based on Easy Jet flights from Gatwick to Akureyri. Another option is to fly to Keflavik where there will be far more options and then get an internal flight to Akureyri.
