Description Few places in the world can compare with the drama of Iceland’s other worldly landscapes in winter.
On this workshop we will be concentrating on the Snefellsnes Peninsular in the west of Iceland as well as the north west of the country. An area that is packed with iconic locations… dramatic mountains and waterfalls, the famous black church, ice capped volcanoes, rock stacks and arches and fishing villages. At this time of year days are short but the low angle of the sun means the light can be golden all day long and the photography doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. At night, if conditions are right, we will be heading out in search of the dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis.
On my workshops, every detail is taken care of from the transport, delicious food, comfortable private rooms to the stunning locations so you can relax and concentrate on enjoying the photography. I pride myself on providing plenty of personal tuition, so numbers are limited to 5 participants to enable me to spend plenty of time with everyone.

Accommodation
We will be based at three hotels as we travel around north west Iceland. Spending the first night at the Hotel Laugarbakki before heading to the Snaefellsnes peninsular where we will spend two nights at Hotel Snaefellsnes, a modern hotel in a convenient location in the south of the peninsular. For the final two nights we will be at Hotel Budir, a beautiful hotel in an equally stunning location on the coast just a few minutes stroll from the famous black church.
Flights
Flights are not included but there are several airlines flying to Keflavik including BA, Iceland Air, Play and Easyjet. The timings for this workshop are based on Easy Jet flights to Iceland from Luton to Keflavik.
