Fitness level Moderate. Walks are mostly short and flat but there are some longer walks of up to 1km on soft sand with inclines. Temperatures will be over 30°C in some locations.
Description Namibia’s landscape is one of the most unique and dramatic in the world… ancient deserts, dramatic canyons, distinctive rock formations, and sweeping orange sand dunes. All in colours that are a visual feast for landscape photographers. If that wasn’t enough the dark, clear desert night skies are perfect for astrophotography.

Anybody! An understanding of the basics will be useful but any tuition is tailored to the individual so this course is suitable for photographers of all levels - anyone looking to improve their landscape photography and discover one of the most stunning countries in the world with a small group of like-minded people.

On my workshops, every detail is taken care of from the transport, delicious food, comfortable private rooms to the stunning locations so you can relax and concentrate on enjoying the photography.

This workshop is based around ??? flights from London Heathrow to Windhoek but please do not book flights until I confirm that the workshop has sufficient bookings to go ahead. I will be in touch with the recommend flights and the meeting details closer to the time.

The deposit is £1000, payable on booking then I will email a final invoice due 6 weeks before the date of the workshop.

Yes. There will be an image review session via Zoom which is not only an opportunity to receive critique on your work but to see and discuss the photos that others have taken during the trip. I’ll record this session for anyone who can’t make it.

Locations are some distance apart so will be staying at several different hotels and lodges, each one chosen to give us a comfortable stay and the best access to our locations: Weinberg - Windhoek, Quivertree Forest Rest Camp, Lüderitz Nest Hotel, Dead Valley Lodge - Sesriem, Flamingo Villas Boutique Hotel - Walvis Bay, Spitzkoppen Lodge. In each you will have a private room with no single supplement.

No. All rooms are private double rooms with ensuite bathroom.

During the workshop all transport is provided, you just have to get yourself to Namibia and back.
