Lucky seven

You may have noticed that I enter the odd photography competition and that includes those at my camera club where, with plenty of friendly rivalry and banter, bragging rights are at stake. Last year things went pretty well for me and having missed the Felixstowe Photographic Society awards evening in January, I was presented last week with the trophies that I'd won in last year's competitions... all seven of them!

I should point out that camera club competitions can be rather inconsistent in their judging, what one judge might pick as a winner, another might completely dismiss but that's all part of the fun and I only mention it to point out that last year I was very lucky with the judges! Who knows, with different judges I may not have won a thing but I'm pretty chuffed to have won seven awards including photographer of the year. Somebody joked that I'd need a wheel barrow to take them home, turns out they were right!
